These pictures were taken on three separate occasions. Two of the families had their pictures taken on the same day and two of them were taken in Salado. One of the hardest thing about taken these picture was trying to get the little kids to listen to instructions. Another hard thing to over come was the lack of a reflector to help get the shadows out of the pictures. I used an external flash for most of the pictures except for the pictures of the two little boys. Next time I take pictures of little kids, I will make sure to be more commanding to make them pose correctly and I will definitely bring a flash and a reflector so I will have the best possible pictures the next time I take family pictures.
This photoshoot was extremely fun because the person I took pictures of is a really good friend of mine. The pictures were mostly taken in Austin, near the capitol building, there were a few taken in Salado and even less taken at her house because her mom wanted pictures in her letterman jacket but she forgot it at her house. I used a external flash and my 50mm lense to take these pictures, as the session went on I had to change the settings of my camera and flash to get the picture I wanted. I got so many great pictures that I ended up editing 46 pictures, so basically a lot went right. Next time I take portrait pictures I will make sure to use a relfector and an external flash. I have hope that I have more portrait photoshoots that are like this one.
This was one of my favorite assignments so far because I love flowers and macro so very much. These pictures were taken in a variety of places ranging from Salado to Chalk Ridge Falls. The super up close picture of the yellow flower was taken with the use of macro tubes. The use of macro tubes was the most difficult part of this assignment because you have to put the camera in the perfect position or the picture will end up blurry. Other than the tubes the project was a lot of crouching and laying of the ground to get the angle I wanted. Next time I have this kind of project, I will use the macro tubes more so that I can get more practice with them and they will become easier to use.
